Media reports have confirmed four out of the 6 injured in yesterday's traffic collision on Boduthakurufaanu Magu of Male' are currently being treated at the Intensive Care Unit of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.

The collision occurred when a car veered out of control on the rain-soaked tarmac and crashed into oncoming traffic, specifically a double-decker MTCC bus.

The collision injured four in the car as well as two others on the MTCC bus. One of the victims from the car succumbed to her injuries yesterday and had been identified as 23-year-old Mariyam Amaanee Rasheed.

Reports have said that 3 of the injured are currently on the ventilator.

A video clip of the accident has been circulated on Twitter and it showed that the red-colored car involved in the crash had been out of control when it had hit the MTCC bus and another car.

Images on social media showed that half of the car had been totaled while the front windshield of the bus had been broken.
