Police have arrested a minor in relation to the stabbing incident reported in Addu City Feydhoo last week.

The incident between two rival gangs had left a 21-year-old youth with fatal injuries and he had later succumbed to the wounds.

Police said that they had arrested a 16-year-old suspect in relation to the case last night and that the suspect had been arrested under a court order.

Police also said that they had arrested two others aged 18 years and 29 years for attempting to disrupt the harmony within the community.

They added that they were further investigating the matter.

The 21-year-old victim had died at Addu Equatorial Hospital as he was rushed to the hospital following the stabbing.

The hospital had confirmed that the victim succumbed to his injuries while under treatment in the ICU of the hospital.

It also said that the victim had stab wounds on his back and forearms.
