President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih says our children are our future and that we must cherish and protect them.
He said this in a tweet on the occasion of Children's day celebrated across the nation today.
President Solih said that as we celebrate Children’s Day in the Maldives today, we must do all we can to ensure that every child is provided a safe, nurturing, and loving environment to grow up in.
Children's Day is celebrated on May 10th in the Maldives every year and the occasion is colorfully celebrated in all the schools across the country.
International Children's Day is celebrated on 20th November every year.
Children's Day was first celebrated on 20th November 1954.
