Two foreigners have been injured after an explosion on a boat docked in the lagoon of Alifu Alifu Maalhos.
Police said that the incident happened around 08:45 tonight and that the two foreigners sustained burns due to the explosion.
They further said that the two victims were rushed to the Health Center in Maalhos and then transferred to Male' for further treatment.
Police did not offer any more information about the extent of the injuries the foreigners sustained or details of how the explosion aboard the vessel occurred.
Police added that they were further investigating the incident.
