The family of the Bangladeshi man killed in a scuffle that occurred in a restaurant in Hulhumale' has asked the body of the victim to be sent home to Bangladesh.

29-year-old M.D Shahin was killed in a scuffle that was reported from the Khanji restaurant in Hulhumale' on Sunday. The fight had occurred between him and a Pakistani Chef who also works at the restaurant. The Pakistani Chef had fled after the incident but was later arrested from Hulhumale' beach area on Sunday night.

He was remanded in custody for 15 more days yesterday by Hulhumale' magistrate court.

Meanwhile, in an interview given to a Bangladeshi newspaper, the victim's family demanded justice for the victim. The family had also asked authorities to send the victim's body to his home in Bangladesh.

Police had confirmed that Shahin was declared dead on arrival at the hospital and that this case is being investigated by the Serious and Organized Crime Department of the force with utmost diligence.
