Health Protection Agency HPA says the number of Common Cold cases reported in February was lower than that reported in January of this year.
The Agency said that a total of 16,125 cases of common cold were reported in February while 25,554 such cases were recorded in January. HPA had also said that 3,221 common cold cases were reported in the last week of February while 8,408 common cold cases were recorded in the last week of February.
HPA had said that the number of Common Cold cases being reported this year is comparatively higher than that reported last year.
Meanwhile, HPA reported 9 more cases of Dengue fever in February compared to January. HPA said that a total of 24 cases of the illness was reported last month. HPA recorded 15 cases of the illness in January.
HPA also reported a relatively lower number of vomiting and diarrhea cases in February compared to January.
The Agency said that 2,739 such cases were reported last and are 6,756 cases less than which was reported in January. HPA had recorded a staggering 9,495 such cases in the first month of this year.
