Police say there are currently probing an incident where a foreigner had grabbed a young boy's arms in Male'.
They said that the case was reported today and that the victim of the incident is a 12-year-old boy who was grabbed by a foreigner.
Police reported that the foreigner in question was now temporarily under police custody but did not clarify whether the person has been arrested or not.
They also said that Police were further investigating the incident.
This comes after a social media post by the boy's cousin described the incident in detail in which she said that the man had grabbed her cousin just as he was about to enter his house.
She also said that the foreigner had only let go of the boy's hands when those standing by had raised their voices.
