Maldives National Defense Force MNDF has confirmed that one of its soldiers has died while on training at Maafilaafushi.
MNDF said that Private Mohamed Rafil Rabeel of Gaafu Dhaalu Gadhoo was taken to Lhaviyani Naifaru hospital yesterday after he was had breathing difficulties.
MNDF further said that Private Rafil had passed away while under treatment at the hospital.
The armed forces did not give details about his age nor when he had died today.
There have been several incidents in which trainees have died while on MNDF and Police training.
