The Gender Ministry has cautioned government offices not to gift flower bouquets, roses, and chocolates to their female employees on the occasion of International Women's Day celebrated tomorrow.

The Ministry issued this caution in a circular sent out to the government offices dated 27th last month. The document had highlighted what to be aware of when celebrating the day tomorrow.

The Ministry's circular had ordered government offices not to give red carpet welcomes to female staff tomorrow as well as to withhold cake cutting ceremonies on the occasion.

It had also cautioned the offices from gifting flower bouquets, roses, chocolates as well as kitchen items and cleaning materials like mops and brooms.

The Ministry had also advised against wearing gender-biased colors like pink to celebrate the occasion.

The Circular read that the day would be celebrated in a manner to achieve this year's theme, "Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow".
