President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has been discharged from the hospital after he had surgery as part of thyroid treatment.

The President confirmed this himself via Twitter.

He said that he was discharged from the hospital this morning and that he was doing well.

President Solih also said that he will be returning home to the Maldives in a few days.

The President had departed to Singapore last week following advice from his doctors to get treatment for his Thyroid condition abroad.

He had then announced that he had to get surgery and had said that he would be temporarily stepping aside from his role as President and leaving them to Vice President Faisal Naseem while the President went under the knife.
