Health Protection Agency HPA has established a COVID sample collection center at Hulhumale' Phase II, the first one in the newly inhabited part of Hulhumale'.
HPA said that the collection center has been established near the H8 Hiya flat tower and that it would be open to the public at 03:00 pm today.
The H8 Hiya Flat tower is located near the east bus stop in Phase II.
HPA also said that the center would be collecting samples between 03:30 pm and 06:30 pm every day.
This is the second sample collection center established in Hulhumale with HPA collecting samples from the Ruhgandu area in Phase I of the artificial island.
With the increases number of COVID cases across the country, HPA has been testing a record number of samples for COVID.
In the last three days, authoritities in the Maldives has tested 22,791 samples for COVID-19 and out of that 7,540 has tested positive for COVID-19.
