CEO of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company MTCC Adam Azim has urged more female employees of the company to apply for the scholarship opportunities launched by the company.

Speaking on Raaje TV, Azim said that providing educational opportunities for the public is vital to the current administration and that MTCC too gives great importance to it.

Azim said that in the ceremony held to mark the company's 41st anniversary, MTCC had introduced 11 scholarship opportunities.

He said that the program is budgeted for five years and the company is looking to issue scholarships to 10 to 15 students each year from different fields.

Azim noted that there are employees who have achieved great academic successes in the secondary and higher secondary exams and these include female employees as well. Azim then went on to urge female employees to apply for the scholarship opportunities.

MTCC CEO also added that the country cannot prosper without attaining gender equality.
