Police have seized a phone in relation to the suspicious death of a foreign nurse who worked at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
The Filipino nurse named Mary Grace was found hanging in her apartment in an apparent suicide last month but authorities have begun an investigation into her death as there are reportedly suspicions of wrongdoing.
The nurse had been found dead shortly after an argument with her husband who also worked at the hospital.
Police had then arrested 28-year-old Marvin in relation to his wife's death and he had been remanded in custody for another 15 days on the 28th of last month.
As the investigation progressed, it was discovered that the husband of the deceased nurse had been romantically involved with a local nurse who also worked at IGMH. The local nurse has since been suspended from work.
Today, the police seized the phone of the local nurse, the lover of the husband of the deceased nurse.
Some local media have quoted the police as saying that it had not been established that Mary had committed suicide as her injuries were inconsistent with a hanging.
