A gas cylinder explosion in a warehouse in Male' has injured two people.
Authorities had said that the incident had happened at a warehouse storing fire extinguishers and that the explosion had injured a local and a foreigner.
Authorities said that both the victims had been taken to the hospital for treatment and that one had suffered burns on his body.
They also said that the warehouse had been near bisburi of Male', a heavily populated area in the capital city.
Similar incidents had been reported on several occasions this year across the country.
Recently, a fire was caused in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Dhandhoo after a gas cylinder had leaked gas. The fire injured a foreigner.
Earlier this year, a woman suffered burns on her face, hands, and knees in a gas cylinder explosion in Raa Atoll Inguraidhoo.
