Police have confirmed that the office of SME Development Finance Corporation Pvt Ltd (SDFC) was broken into last night and burglarised.
They said that the burglary at the SDFC office located on the 2nd floor of Maafannu Kaneeruvillaa on Orchid Magu was reported earlier today at 08:56 am.
Police said that its officers had been on the scene earlier today but did not reveal any further information.
Police did not confirm whether or not anything was stolen during the break-in or whether or not any arrests have been made in relation to the incident.
As a key pledge by the current administration, SDFC was established as a specialized financial institution providing financial products and ancillary services to MSMEs and entrepreneurial start-ups with the primary purpose of easing access to finance for MSMEs.
