Police have reported that bullets have been found inside the bag of a tourist who had been at the Velaana International Airport for departure.
Police said that the incident was reported earlier today and that the tourist had been taken under custody for questioning regarding the discovery.
They said that the tourist under custody is a 60-year-old man from Namibia.
Police also said that they were actively investigating the incident.
Security Services in the country had increased the alert level of different locations in the Greater Male' Area after the failed assassination attempt against the Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed in May.
Velaanaa International Airport is one such location.
