Health authorities on Thursday, 30 July 2020, confirms discovery of 152 positive cases.

Following government's decision to ease the lockdown measures; granting public transportation and outside privileges without permits, the spread of Covid-19 have taken a drastic upward movement once again.

On Wednesday, 29 July, authorities had reported discovery of 61 positive cases while the total number of cases from Maldives were at 3,567.

With Thursday's development the total number of cases will have now risen to 3,719 inclusive of both recovery cases as well as active cases.

Over 76,000 samples were collected inclusive of repeated samples, while Ministry of Health reports regular updates everyday.

As of 29 July 2020, the total number of recoveries were at 2,554 with 657 individuals in isolation facilities while 983 remain as active cases.

Thursday's cases include 89 Maldivians, 54 Bangladeshis, 5 Indians and 4 Sri Lankans according to Health Protection Agency (HPA).
