A total of 04 workers from Seaside Finolhu Maldives have tested positive for Covid-19 virus, reports local health authorities.

Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) validated the information to local media outlet 'The Press' on Monday. The authority adds they were discovered when one of workers arrived in Male' and tested for the presence of Covid-19.

Prior to Maldives border closure, Seaside Finolhu closed down in February for renovations. Following the lockdown along with travel restrictions, works on renovation saw unprecedented slowdown.

Following Maldives government's decision to lift up the lockdown measures and impose the new normal, as well as border reopening the tourist venue's renovation recommenced.

HEOC reports the remaining 3 workers of the batch were identified with Covid-19 following the conduct of a contact-tracing.
