Household item seller Astrabon launches a credit scheme for resorts, guesthouses, and Safari operators as the country looks to re-open borders for tourists in mid-July.

Astrabon said that the scheme would allow resorts, guesthouses, and safaris to avail credit facilities for up to 3 months.

The store that supplies to resorts and tourist establishments has also taken time during lockdown to develop a new portal that will go live later this month.

Astrabon said that this was a customized e-commerce platform that allows customers to view detailed product information before placing orders.

It said that for corporate customers, the website will drastically improve the customer experience as it allows users to browse thousands of product catalogs and videos online instead of having to visit the showroom in Male’ or request for information by email.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced yesterday that the Maldives would re-open its borders on the 15th of July and that resorts would be allowed to operate when the border reopens. He also said guesthouses would be allowed to resume operations in August.
