A speed boat has flipped topside down just outside the lagoon of Gaaf Alif atoll Gemanafushi.
According to a local source, the small-dinghy like speed boat carried just one passenger at the time of incident.
Moreover, it was confirmed the individual has since been rescued and was in stable condition.
Additionally it was confirmed the locals of the island had assisted Maldives Police Service officers to right the vessel. The vessel was transported to the island's pier.
Meanwhile, weather forecast agency of Maldives have advised locals to be vary of worsening climate conditions.
Maldives Meteorological Center warns of worsening weather, and issued a yellow alert for the islands between Haa Alif atoll and Thaa atoll.
Furthermore, the authority issued out a white alert effective between 17:30hrs until 20:30hrs of Saturday evening.
The weather forecast authority expect wind to pick up speeds between 20 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour.
Additionally, it was further suggested parts of the country will experience rainfall on Saturday evening.
