Maldives Transport and Construction Company MTCC says the installation of storm waterworks is ongoing for B. Eydhafushi's major road construction project.
MTCC said that the stormwater tanks are being placed at 20m intervals.
It also said that to meet engineering requirements, trained staff are carrying out the excavation for the pipe placement.
The company said that the B. Eydhafushi road construction project consists of detailed surveys of existing sidewalk and design of asphalt pavements; design and construction of stormwater lift stations including gravity pipe network; and a cement stabilized base course.
MTCC said the project that began on 22nd April 2019, includes installation of streetlights; speed breakers, and marked road lines.
