Male’ Water and Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd MWSC says the water supplied by the company undergoes regular testing for quality assurance.
In a tweet, the utility company said that to ensure regular testing of its supply water even amid the lockdown of Male’ Area, 4 staff from Quality Assurance Department is stationed at MWSC facilities since the lockdown began.
The company said that these 4 staffs are instrumental in upholding MWSC commitment to provide safe and quality water service.
MWSC has said before that their tap water supplied to households is safe to drink. It has also said that the water is prepared within the standards set by local authorities and international bodies and the company’s laboratory checks the quality of the water every day.
MWSC had urged its customers to avoid wasting water, as clean water is an important tool to fight the Covid-19 pandemic that is now grappling the country.
