Health Protection Agency HPA confirms 58 additional cases of Covid-19 in the Maldives.
In a tweet, HPA said 25 Maldivians, 13 Bangladeshis, 14 Indians and 6 Nepalese have tested for Covid-19 in the Maldives yesterday.
This takes the total number of positive cases to 1371.
Health Ministry’s Dashboard on Covid-19 shows that a total of 494 locals have now tested positive for Covid-19 with 877 foreigners tested positive for the virus in the Maldives. This includes 688 Bangladeshis, 140 Indians, and 22 Nepalese nationals.
Authorities say 144 people have recovered from Covid-19 with 1221 active cases of Covid-19 still recorded in the country. The dashboard showed that 12 of these positive individuals are hospitalized.
Maldives has recorded four Covid-19 related deaths including an 83-year-old local woman, a 33-year-old Bangladeshi man, an 80-year-old Maldivian man, and the 88-year-old husband of the first woman to die of the illness.
