Authorities on Thursday evening have confirmed 06 more patients making recoveries from the Covid-19 virus.

During the press conference held on Thursday evening, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital's (IGMH) medical officer Dr. Ibrahim Afzal confirmed all recovery cases were Maldivian locals.

The total number of recoveries from Maldives now stands at 32 locals and 14 expatriates with actual total rising to 46.

On Wednesday, it was confirmed by health authorities that 08 patients made recoveries from the disease.

Meanwhile, 27 additional cases of Covid-19 were reported from Maldives on Thursday surging the total to 982.

So far, only 4 deaths have been reported from the island nation. The victims include three elderly local citizens and one middle aged expatriate.
