Authorities claim two children are among the recovery cases in Maldives, who earlier had contracted the Covid-19 virus.
Sources claim the two children are among the 08 individuals reported on Wednesday to have made recoveries from the disease. The children are aged 2 and 8 as per sources - cases MAV033 and MAV082.
Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital's (IGMH) doctor and Covid-19 taskforce member Dr. Ibrahim Afzal on Wednesday night confirmed all recoveries wer Maldivian locals.
Maldives currently confirms 26 locals and 14 expatriates recovering from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 40.
On the other hand, authorities had earlier confirmed of 13 new cases testing positive for the virus.
Meanwhile, the total number of positive cases reported from Maldives have risen to 968.
So far, there have been 4 deaths due to the virus reported from the island nation which includes 3 elderly citizens, all locals and one middle-aged expatriate, 33.
