Renowned local businessman Hussain Abdullah has died of Covid-19 while being treated at Dharumavantha hospital 11th floor, DH11.
He was the owner of MHA Company, one of the biggest wholesale dealers in the country.
Late Maroshi Hussain Abdullah also known as Maroshi Hussain kaleyfaanu is an illustrious recipient of the Nishaan Kalaafaanu honor by the state for his services in developing the business sector as well as his efforts to enhance community development.
He also fulfilled the designation of island Chief or Katheeb for Sh.Maroshi and strived for the betterment of the island as well as the atoll.
Late Hussain Abdullah received the National Award of Recognition for his philanthropic work in 1992 and also was the recipient of the National Award of Honor in 2005 for the same field.
The 88-year-old tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted at DH11 on the same day his 83-year-old wife died of the illness, 29th of April.
