President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announces that 541 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country.
The President made the announcement in his address to the nation today.
His announcement means 14 people tested positive for Covid-19 today as the previous total stood at 527.
Health Protection Agency HPA and Ministry of Health are yet to give details about the new cases.
In his address President Solih reiterated that because of the Covid-19 crisis the most active sectors of the economy have halted. This includes the tourism sector, retail sector, and foods and services sector.
President Solih said the government was working tirelessly to restore the economy and save the country from its current predicament.
