Bank of Maldives has announced the winners of 'Bank Fund 2025', an initiative targeted to empower NGOs and drive sustainable development projects across the Maldives.
The recipients of the Bank Fund this year are:
- Diabetes Society of Maldives: Establishing a clinic in Hulhumalé to expand accessible, community-based healthcare services that focus on prevention, early detection, and management of diabetes.
- United Islamic Society: Establish a modern multi-media studio at Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre, aimed at enhancing students' digital media competencies and ensuring the continuity and professionalization of the school’s highly regarded Media Club.
- Foundation for Eydhafushi Youth Linkage (FEYLI): Establishing two integrated Labs at Baa Atoll Education Centre to deliver comprehensive vocational and creative skills training.
- Maldivian Nurses Association: To establish sustainable, community-based mental health support services in Hulhumale’ Phase 2 that provide accessible, outreach, and rehabilitative activities for individuals with severe mental illness
- Tiny Hearts of Maldives: To build a national digital resource hub for heart health and physical health.
The 'Bank Fund' is an annual program to select five projects each year to receive MVR 200,000 in funding. BML remains dedicated to empowering local communities and building a brighter future for the Maldives.
