National Emergency Operations Center NEOC Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Azeez says 23 expat housings with 1085 residents have been placed under monitoring as more and more foreign workers test positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives.
Briefing the media on the latest updates of the Covid-19 crisis in Maldives, Mabrook said Maldives Red Crescent was closely supervising the status of the residents in these housings.
Mabrook said 116 people were tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday and that 95 cases of expat workers with the virus were discovered from a quarantined foreigners living quarters. He said these quarters have recorded other movements and that HPA would share the information once it is been confirmed.
296 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country including 143 locals and 253 foreigners.
