The official said that the Ministry had assisted 27 of the 48 islands to shore up its water supplies and that it was working with Fenaka Corporation to aid these islands.
The official further said that Atolls that have requested for water aid include Ha. Atoll, Hdh. Atoll, Sh. Atoll, N. Atoll, R. Atoll, B. Atoll, Lh, Atoll, Aa. Atoll, Adh. Atoll, V. Atoll, Dh. Atoll, Th. Atoll, L. Atoll and Gdh. Atoll.
Every year, whenever warm weather persists, water supplies across the nation shrink, with the Ministry intervening each year to ease the shortages.
