Speaker of Parliament and Former President Mohamed Nasheed tests negative for Covid-19.
Nasheed was tested for the virus after Health Protection Agency HPA announced that all who travelled back from the UK between 14th and 19th of March would be tested for Covid-19.
The Speaker made a personal trip to the UK on the 11th of March and returned back on the 15th of March.
Parliament secretariat had said that the Speaker would comply with HPA’s instruction and is ready to offer his full cooperation to authorities.
Four Maldivians have so far tested positive for Covid-19, all of them returning back from the UK.
