Bank of Maldives (BML), the national bank of the island nation will have all of its branches with the exception of bazaar branch open for services on 02 April 2020.

The national bank announced all of its branches in Greater Male' Region along with service centers with bazaar branch being the only exception of remaining close, will open for a duration of 03 hours on Thursday.

The bank confirms, its branches and service centers will render services from 09:30hrs until 12:30hrs of Thursday.

However, BML attested their ATM services will remain functional on a 24-hour basis as exercised now. Customers will be able to use self-service banking ATMs to deposit, withdraw and transfer funds between accounts.

Meanwhile, the bank has advised all of its customers to primarily opt for internet and mobile banking services for their needs.

The national bank of Maldives, announced shutting their regular conduct of operations down following the COVID-19 outbreak in the country that lead to government announcing temporary shutdown of its institutions.
