Health Protection Agency HPA says it is testing a Maldivian from JA Manafaru Maldives resort having developed Covid-19 like symptoms.
In a tweet HPA said that the individual has been placed under home-isolation.
It added that the resort is currently under monitoring.
Thirteen people have so far tested positive here in Maldives but no Maldivian have yet contracted the highly contagious yet.
Government is taking all necessary precautions to deter a full-blown Covid-19 outbreak with schools, government offices, public parks, café and restaurants closed.
