President Office Spokesman Mr. Mabrouk Abdul Azeez has heaped worthy praise on local reporters for the continuous coverage of the global pandemic Covid-19 saying he would never forget their hard work.
Speaking to the media tonight at the twice-daily news conference, Mr. Mabrouk said he did not expect such cooperation from the media when he took over the role of the official spokesperson on Covid-19.
Mabrouk said reporters have attended the news briefing held twice by HPA diligently and the fact that they work late into the night have been highly appreciated.
He thanked the media on behalf of the government for their extensive coverage of the Covid-19 crisis. Mabrouk said he hoped the country will overcome the crisis as soon as possible and that he will never forget the work of the reporters in service to their country.
Government holds press briefings two times to update the media on the latest developments of the country’s ongoing fight against the viral outbreak. With one scheduled at 14:30hrs and another at 21:00hrs everyday of the week except on Friday the government has worked well to provide timely and accurate information to quell all rumors and fake news.
