The government has decided to disinfect Male’ and Hulhumale’ as part of their on-going efforts to repel a mass Covid-19 outbreak in Maldives.
Speaking at newsconference held tonight at Dharubaaruge, the official spokesperson on COVID-19 developments in Maldives Mr Mabrouk Abdul Azeez said work to disinfect Male’ City would be conducted by Maldives National Defense Force MNDF in collaboration with Male’ City Council. He said Hulhumale Development Corporation HDC is preparing to disinfect Hulhumale.
Disinfections would begin 8 am tomorrow.
With several preventive measures already in place, citizens of Maafannu medhu constituencies have already been disinfecting the area.
As the whole world battles the global pandemic, Maldives declared a public health emergency earlier this month. Government and civilians alike have undertaken commendable measures to avert a full-blown outbreak in Maldives.
