A luxury yacht carrying multiple tourists, cruising the local sea capsized on the house reef of Gaaf Alif atoll Gemanafushi.
The yacht, now identified as 'Grandeza', is a locally registered luxury vessel operating in the hospitality sector of Maldives.
Meanwhile, the marine division of Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) confirms there were no injuries in onboard passengers, officers of the authority were assisting to the right the vessel.
Reports claim the yacht capsized on the outlier house reef on the north-west end of Gemanafushi.
At the time incident, the yacht was carrying a total of 16 onboard which included 7 tourists and nine crew members.
The passengers onboard were immediately transported to the nearby Gemanafushi following the incident.
