Police have begun searching for a man missing from Male'.
They said that 37-year-old Abdullah Shihad was reported missing by his family last night. Police said that his family had said that they last heard from him on the 8th of the month around 04:51 in the evening.
Police also said that his family confirmed that Shihad lived in Male' and that his mobile phone remains unresponsive.
They asked the public to contact the police hotline 3322111 or 9631696 if they have any information about Shihad's whereabouts.
Missing persons cases have increased in the Maldives over the years and most cases are resolved without incident.
