Police in the Maldives have launched a search operation after a Chinese tourist who arrived in the Maldives last October was reported missing.
They identified the tourist as Sue Xiaoning. Police said that she arrived in the country on a tourist visa on the 31st of October.
Police said that the missing person report was filed on the 22nd of this month by the Chinese Embassy on behalf of his family after they did not receive any news from her after she arrived in the Maldives.
They said that she checked out of the guest house in Male' early on October 24, 2024, but has not left the Maldives after that.
However, police have not been able to find any information about her or her whereabouts.
Police are asking anyone with information about Su Xiaoning to call the Serious and Organized Crime Investigation duty number via 9911099.
