A tourist who went snorkeling off a resort in Alifu Alifu Atoll has died.
Police stated the tourist went snorkeling off Gangehi resort and the tourist was reported dead yesterday around 11:22 a.m.
They said the victim was rushed to the nearest Health Center but was declared dead on arrival.
Police identified the tourist as a 27-year-old Chinese man.
They said the man had been staying at a guest house in Rasdhoo of the same Atoll.
Police added they were further investigating the case.
