Police confirm that a local woman has been found dead in a house in Noonu Atoll Holhudhoo.
They said that they received a report of a woman with serious injuries found in a house on the island earlier this morning and that officers were dispatched to the scene.
Police said that the officers on scene rushed the woman to the island's health center. They cited the Center to report that the woman was declared dead on arrival.
Police are now investigating the incident but did not reveal any other information.
Yesterday, a man with serious injuries was found in a room in a guest house in Male'. The local man was then rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital where he was treated at the Intensive Care Unit.
Police had also said that they were investigating the case but have yet to arrest in the case.
