The President further said that the Cabinet would discuss ways for the Business Center Corporation BCC and Maldives Fund Management Corporation to work together. He noted that this was how state-owned companies were run in developed countries like Singapore and the UAE.

The President also said that his cabinet would deliberate on introducing an investor residency program to further diversify the economy as the country is looking at more financial instability in the near future.
