Police say they are searching for a man who went missing while on a picnic on a sandbank in Baa Atoll.
They said that 43-year-old Thasleem Ahmed had gone missing when he went to a picnic on the reclaimed land south of Kaafu Huvafenfushi.
Police said that the people who joined the victim on the trip had reported that they last saw Thasleem between 10:00 and 11:00 in the morning.
They urged anyone with information about him and anyone who visited the area on August 29 and 30 (Thursday / Friday) to contact the Hinmafushi Police Station at (9794639).
While, Police have launched a search operation, it is not clear how many people were on the trip with the victim and what was the cause of his disappearance.
