Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed says harassing the ambassadors of foreign countries and their families living in the Maldives is not giving victory to Palestine.
His remarks came after two women were arrested for protesting outside of several diplomatic missions against the continuing Israeli military aggression and genocide in occupied Palestine and Gaza.
The Minister also said that it is not fair to shout at the house of a certain ambassador for many days and threaten the ambassador and his family.
Quoting an X post by the former Islamic Minister Ahmed Zahir Ali, who called for the release of the two women, Islamic Minister Shaheem shared a video clip of one of the women throwing rubbish at the residence of the Saudi Arabian ambassador.
The Minister said that throwing garbage at the Amabssador's residence is not considered as giving victory to Palestine and that this is not how it is done anywhere in the world.
He also aimed remarks at the former Minister by saying that it highly detrimental to Islam that those who know the right ways try to hide the truth.
