Assailants smash the window of the KFC restaurant in Male' in the second such attack against the local outlet of the global fast food chain.

Police said that the incident was reported around 04: 32 am earlier this morning and that assailants had used a rock to smash the window of the restaurant on Ameenee Magu of Male'.

Police confirmed that no arrests have been made in the case and that they are further investigating the incident.

The window of the same restaurant was smashed in an attack reported on the 16th of this month. Police did not clarify whether any suspects were arrested in the case.

These attacks came after protests were staged in front of the restaurant by locals supporting Palestine urging Maldivians to boycott the global food chain for its support of the zionist regime of Israel responsible for war crimes and genocide in occupied Palestine.

Assailants have also thrown black oil at the restaurant as well as the Pizza Hut next door for their support of the Israeli government.
