The Advisor to Finance Minister Ahmed Naseer has been transferred to the Foreign Ministry.
Naseer was appointed as the Advisor to the Finance Minister on the 12th of December last year. However, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu transferred Naseer to the post of Ambassador at Large of the Foreign Ministry last week.
The Government has yet to provide an official reason for the transfer.
The Finance Ministry still has one more advisor in the form of former Finance Minister Ahmed Munavaru.
This administration has come under great scrutiny for its high number of political posts with many top officials appointed to government posts at the Minister, Deputy Minister, and State Minister levels.
This week, the President's Office said it would reveal the number of political appointees in the coming week.
