President Dr Mohamed Muizzu departed on a three-day visit to the islands of the Thaa Atoll today.

The President’s initial destination is the Guraidhoo Island, where he received the highest percentage of votes in the Presidential election. He had previously announced that he would honor the island with his maiden visit as the President.

The President is slated to visit several islands of the Kolhumadulu Atoll, where he is scheduled to meet with residents, island councils, and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs). During his visit, the President will discuss pertinent developmental concerns and inquire about the community’s needs.

The President has reiterated his pledge to work closely with the people and visit all the islands in the Maldives regularly.

President Dr Muizzu is accompanied by a high-level Government delegation on his tour to the Kolhumadulu Atoll.
