Main Opposition Party at the Parliament MDP says it would submit a motion to the parliament today seeking the impeachment of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
An MP from MDP confirmed to the Press that at the MDP Parliamentary Group meeting held today, it was decided that MDP would seek to remove President Muizzu from his post.
The Source said that the decision was reached unanimously.
The MDP MP said that the party has now received the signatures required to submit an impeachment motion against the President in a bid to remove him from parliament months after he took over having won the majority of the votes in the Presidential Election held last September.
