President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu says the two State Ministers who were dismissed shortly after being appointed were initially hired by mistake.
The President said this at a press conference at the Presidential Palace yesterday. The President said that a couple of people he had appointed were dismissed as an administrative mistake.
The President said that the matter could have been handled in a better way and that the fault was not with those who have been dismissed from their posts.
Among those who were sacked after the handover were former CSC President and State Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Fahmi Hassan and Tourism Minister of State Munim Anis.
Meanwhile, Hassan Mughnee, who was the Managing Director of Stelco, was appointed to the Privatization Corporatization Board and dismissed. He was removed from office when the PCB was reconstituted and its members announced.
