Mohammed Fahmee Hassan has been fired as the State Minister of Foreign Affairs less than four days after his appointment.

Fahmee, who was appointed as the State Minister of Foreign Affairs on Monday, was fired, the President's Office confirmed to The Press.

However, The Press has learned that he was fired after he refused to resign.

Fahmee was formerly the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission. He was then removed from the commission after being accused of sexually assaulting a female employee during his tenure.

When he was removed from the comission he filed lodge a case at the Supreme Court in 2013 which ruled out all the procedures decided by the Parliament to remove him was invalid.

A few days later, he was appointed Deputy Ambassador for Malasiya by the former president Abdulla Yameen.
