Resort goods supplier, Astrabon reported a break-in at its showroom on Orchid Magu.
Astrabon said that the break-in happened last night and that the thieves gained access by exploiting a small window on the premises.
The Store said that the break-in and eventual theft resulted in the loss of laptops, cash, and other valuable possessions.
Astrabon implored the police to treat this incident with the utmost seriousness and address it promptly.
There is no confirmation from the Police on whether or not they have received the report of the break-in and have launched their investigation.
Break-ins and theft have grown common in the Maldives in recent years, especially in the Greater Male Area.
Police statistics show that so far in 2023, a total of 2,885 incidents of theft have been reported and that 303 robberies have also been reported so far this year.
